For 2021 Spynergy has updated their ever popular GXX Carbon wheels with a multitude of new features. The biggest and most prevalent change is the update to their new and improved hub, the “44” hub. The new gib features 108 points of engagement which means you get lightning engagement the moment you step on the pedals. The updated axle is larger now making for a stiffer experience which improves braking and power transfer. The hub now features a slip-fit system which makes end cap swaps a breeze and future-proofs the hubs. Centerlock rotor mounts make install and removal of the rotors a breeze, and support for every major drivetrain makes the GXX wheelset a great option for every gravel build. As for the rims, Spinergy’s GXX tubeless carbon rims are built around a wide 24mm internal width making them prime candidates for gravel bikes set up with 32-56mm tires. This wide internal width paired with wider tires offers increased corner stability and overall stiffness while under power. The durable carbon rims are vertically compliant while being laterally stiff. Not to mention that the low weight of the rims paired with the lightweight 44 hubs results in a solid 1590g wheelset weight. A 24 hole radial spoke pattern with Spinergy’s patented PBO spokes keep the weight low, stiffness high, and offer a smoother ride with reduced rider fatigue.
