Fox Transfer SL Factory 2022
Super Light Done Right
There’s a new kid on the block for 2022. Fox is diving headfirst into the lightweight segment of the dropper post market with the all-new Fox Transfer SL. Its insanely lightweight design shaves an incredible 128g off of the regular Transfer post. Their lightest version yet, barely weighs more than a high-end alloy seatpost making the Transfer SL a no-brainer in the battle between picking a rigid post or a dropper post. Using a coil system instead of an air system made it so that Fox was able to reduce not only the weight of the Transfer post but also reduce the complexity of the design. Its wide range of travel and diameter options makes it an excellent choice for gravel and trail riders as well. Not to mention that the bulletproof internals makes the Transfer SL a great option for riders who want to explore the backcountry without having to worry about maintenance or reliability issues. Its UCI World Cup Circuit testing has shown that the Transfer SL is now the (Kashima) gold standard in the lightweight and reliable dropper post-market. For the factory version of the Transfer SL you get Kashima coating which drastically reduces friction and keeps the post movement consistent, we also think it looks pretty darn good. Ti hardware on the factory version helps to improve reliability and saves 10g. The lack of infinite travel adjustment may be a detriment for some but Fox has concluded that most cross country racers and gravel riders don’t use infinite travel adjustment as much as Enduro or Trail riders. If you prefer a longer travel dropper with infinite travel adjustment then we’d recommend checking out the Fox Transfer Factory instead. But if you want an ultra lightweight dropper post that keeps it simple and is race ready then look no further than the Fox Transfer SL Factory.
