SRAM Guide RE Disc Brake
SRAM created the Guide RE brake to serve the ever-growing E-bike marketplace. A motor and battery add a lot of weight to a bike and because of this, stronger braking power is necessary. If you take a close look at the caliper, it might look slightly familiar. It’s the same caliper used on Avid’s Code downhill brakes. SRAM took a Guide Lever and attached it to a Code caliper to create a powerful brake that is also easy on the wallet. Also, just because the “E” in Guide RE stands for E-bike, doesn’t mean you can’t throw them on a normal mountain bike and experience relentless power and control.
