Tubeless tire inserts have made waves in the mountain bike world, they’re renowned for offering additional rim protection, support for tires at lower pressures, and they help to dampen rough trails. Vittoria’s Air-Liner series follows the same principle for their all new road insert but with a special twist. Not only does the road insert offer all of the same features as mountain bike inserts but with an integrated run-flat system. Essentially, in the event of a complete flat, the tire can still be fully ridden. The tubeless system paired with the run-flat system creates the closest setup we’ve seen to a truly bombproof tire setup. The shockingly lightweight material keeps the overall insert weight down to as low as 24g per tire insert. Vittoria have even engineered the Air-Liner material to not absorb any sealant, resulting in a low maintenance and long lasting system.
